What we don't do

What stays in your browser
Some features use your device's local storage (localStorage). This information is not sent to us:
| Feature | What it stores |
|---|---|
| Mark as read | The list of texts you have marked |
| Highlights and notes | The passages you highlighted and what you wrote about them |
| Reading preferences | The font size and the “Original only” mode |
| Quizzes and tools | Some answers, so you can pick up where you left off |
To delete them, use “Delete highlights” in My Journey or clear this site's data in your browser settings. On shared devices, other people may be able to see these marks.
Listening to the text
The “Listen” button uses your browser's built-in voice. Depending on the browser, speech synthesis may be handled by the vendor's service (for example, Google or Microsoft), which receives the passage being read. We don't send anything to these services ourselves.
Third-party services
As with any website, your browser sends technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to the services that deliver the pages and files:
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| Site hosting | Delivering the pages. The provider may keep technical access logs |
| Google Fonts | Loading the site's fonts |
| BiblioVerse | Loading the top bar with the BiblioVerse libraries |
External links
We point to works, organizations and other websites. When you visit them, their own privacy rules apply.
Children and teenagers
The site is educational and does not ask anyone, of any age, for personal data.
Your rights
The LGPD, like data-protection laws generally, guarantees rights such as access to, correction of and deletion of personal data. Since we keep no accounts and don't store what you do here, we generally have no data that could identify you. What is on your device stays under your control.
Changes
If the way the site works changes, for example with new tools or services, this page will be updated with a new date.
