Speciesism Test
The four questions from Volume II applied to a practice of your choice.
Would you stick with this decision if you did not know what species those affected belong to?
Would you stick with this decision if you did not know what species you yourself belong to?
Would you stick with this decision if the victims were human, with harms of the same size?
Would you accept suffering the harms of this practice so that someone else could get its benefits?
These four questions come from Volume II, chapter 11, “Testing whether an attitude is speciesist.” If the answer changes only because the victims belong to another species, the attitude is speciesist.
Based on Vol. II, ch. 11: Testing Whether an Attitude Is Speciesist.
